I am going to share a little embarrassing tidbit about good old Mrs. D. However, you have to promise that you won't tell! For some reason I always try and make cause and effect harder than it is. It's a no-brainer really, but then I start to over think it and I get myself all turned around. These activities have helped keep me from looking like a total ding-bat in front of my kiddies and mommy helpers :)
This collection has an introductory pocket chart lesson, art, posters, games, a mini book, and more. My favorite activity in the packet has to be the Cause + Effect Art. It makes the cutest standards-based and kid-crafted bulletin boards around. Here is an example one of my favorite student examples from a few years back (disregard my old ugly worksheet)!

Oh, and it is Friday so I can't let you walk away from here empty handed. I have attached one of the It's For a Good Cause . . . and Effect worksheets below. This can be completed independently or whole class on the projector.

ReplyDeletehehehehe! You're not the only one that has a teensy bit of trouble with cause and effect...I always have to review it just to make sure I'm teaching it right. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat packet Kelley!! I think that sometimes I tend to overthink cause and effect too---this is something that my kiddos do better than me sometimes (shh...don't tell anyone)

First Grade and Fabulous
This is my first time to your blog. Your blog design (I think that's what you call it) is sooooooo cute and cleva! I love it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAt least they cancel school when you have no water. Our school is under construction and the construction workers broke a water pipe at about 8:30 am. They didn't cancel school, but instead, brought in porta-potties for the kids to use. Yuck!
