SUMMER DREAMIN' - TOP 10 LINKY

OMGOSH people . . . it's so close that I can taste it.  SUMMER VACAY!!!  We still have three more weeks to go.  If you made it to the other side {tongue out at you}, congrats.  If not . . . hold on tight . . . the end is oh so near!

While I am wading through assessments, report cards, awards' night, a last minute field trip, and keeping the daily "lid on," you can bet that I will be dreamin' of summer.  With that said, I thought it would be fitting to link up to Ms. Jump's Summer Linky!  Here are my Top 10 Things I will be doing this summer {in no particular order}.

ONE - FAR ABOVE PAR
We recently rejoined the local golf club and I couldn't be happier.  It is a sport that my body can handle.  When I get out on those beautiful calming greens and I can't think of much of anything, but smackin' that little ball around.  It's my new favorite thing to do - so relaxing!  My brand new TaylorMade clubs will be getting daily use this summer :)

TWO - VEGAS BABY, VEGAS!
I am getting oh so excited for the BIG TPT CONFERENCE this summer.  Ryan Van Meter (TPT Head of Data) and I will be knockin' it out of the park during Session T-09 . . . The Data Advantage.  We have oodles of "insider secrets" to share with all you alls!  In addition to the conference, I can't wait to hang with all of my bloggy buddies at the pool, attend the Annual Blogger Bash, meet the sweet people from GoNoOdle, and to cause some SERIOUS trouble with my long-time pal and roommate (Steph from Falling into First).  Are you going to be there this year?

THREE - OH LORDY . . . THE SWEET OUTDOORS
So, I have been promising my husband that we would go camping since we got together nearly 6 years ago.  Well, in honor of our 4th anniversary, I am takin' one for the team.  We will be packing up the truck for a two-night adventure in Patrick's Point.  It's ocean camping {something I have never done, but it still must be love . . . I'm giving up a soft mattress for goodness sake}.

FOUR - HOME AWAY FROM HOME
If you follow me, you know that I would move to Portland, Oregon in a heartbeat if the stars aligned in the job/personal department.  With this said, we will be taking our annual trip up the FIVE to sweet PDX in late July.  Swoon!

FIVE - TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME
I am from NORCAL, so you just gotta connect the dots here.  I am a Giant's Baseball girl through and through.  We are definitely going to the city to catch a game or two this summer.  It also means that I will be spending some much needed time in my other favorite West Coast hot spot . . . San Francisco!  I seriously can't get enough of this city.

SIX - CREATE . . . CREATE . . . CREATE
I have so many ideas floating around in my head.  This summer I will be working hard on oodles of goods that I will launch throughout next year :)

SEVEN - SUMMER PLOTTING AND PLANNING
Well, it's official.  I will be job sharing with one of my all time best friends next year.  I am beside myself.  Not only will it be oh so helpful for my recovering body, but I will be working with an absolutely amazing teacher.  She is moving into my classroom this summer and we will spend much of June and August planning for our adventure together!!!  I am such a lucky lady :)

EIGHT - CLEAN THE OFFICE
I can't even show you a picture . . . it's that bad.  This summer I need to clean my creative space.  I am a horrible pile maker and this place is a pit!

This is the goal . . . by the end of June.
{It doesn't look like this one little bit - whoops!!}

NINE - GET MOVIN'
It's time to get back in shape.  The school year always kicks my tail and I am a complete wreck after school every day.  I usually take a 20 minute power nap as soon as I walk in the door around 5:30.  Yup.  I'm a hot mess.  I am definitely hit and miss in the exercise department August - May, but this summer I will be setting up a schedule for June and July.  It's time.

TEN - DIG IN THE DIRT
One of my other hobbies is diggin' in the dirt.  I love to work in the yard and feel the sun on my shoulders.  My backyard has been calling my name and I can't wait to get out there.

Alright.  There you have it.  My Top 10 Summer To-Do List.  Thanks for hosting, Mrs. Jump . . . I needed a little carrot to dangle out there in front of me :)  I hope y'all have a wonderful week.  I'll talk to ya soon :)

  1. I have 2 more weeks of school so I'm right there with you! It's so close I can almost taste it though! We are doing similar things this summer. I'll be working in the yard, going to baseball games, and enjoy the outdoors. You'll love camping! It really is a lot of fun and can even be romantic. Stay strong until the end of the school year and enjoy your summer!
