Student pen pals, anyone? My first grade teaching friend in DC gave me an idea for my latest packet (yes . . . I am talking about you, sweet Nicole). She approached me a few months ago about the possibility of having our new kiddy crews team up next year and become classroom pen pals. I accepted immediately as this was/is a brilliant idea (I mean . . . think of the D5 writing that will come out of this).
At the time, I filled it away in my brain-o for an "early-August revisit." However, the other day I realized that I would like to create a series of easy-peasy templates and ideas for us to use. Then, I took it one step further . . . maybe other teachers might want to run with this sort of thing too??!! Hence, the Pen Pal Packet (Everything You Need to Start a Long Distance Classroom Connection) was born!

I learned how to make a photo collage! Here are just a FEW (yes, only FEW) of the items included in this packet. |
As you can see from the collage above, this packet has oodles and oodles of templates . . . . here's a September Letter Set freebie just for you (I levelized each monthly template to help meet your specific grade level or academic ability needs)!

Also, if pen pals aren't your thing, I am thinking that this packet would also be a dynamite friendly letter unit as it contains worksheets, games, and templates that could be used just fine within your own four classroom walls :) CLICK HERE to see more of this pack.
