Mmmm . . . what needs explaining? Not too much on this one. Other than we are still scrambling to make plans for the 4th. The whole mid-week thing is killing the vibe for our circle of friends. We are hoping to snag a couple or two to do a little river floatin', but it's up in the air at this point.
As for the "reads" section, my all-time favorite read aloud is Dog Breath by Dav Pilkey. I heart me a silly-as-all-get-out story. Carpet time giggles are my favorite :) The other selection is my go-to professional book - Rick Morris' New Management Handbook. This guy is filled with great ideas and the whole "student number" system he composed has saved me so much time in the classroom over the years.
So, there you be folks, my current "Currently" in all of it's glory. Hop on over to Farley's page and join in the fun. Just click on her button below to get all of the "deets."

Well, I better hustle my bum into bed. It's getting so late and my eyeballs are starting to burn. That's my body's little way of telling me to kill the electronics for today. I'll see you in the am my friends.
Don't feel bad, I have no plans other that Blog Stalking for the 4th :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of either one of those books, I will have to check them out!
If it makes you feel any better I don't have any solid 4th plans either. Besides watching all of the crazies here on the beach with their explosives :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the looks of the Dog Breathe book-I will have to check it out!

I LOVE that book Dog Breathe. I have read it over, and over with my kids. Then brought it to school and my students kept asking to read it again and again! Super cute! Also try 'I Ain't Gonna Paint No More!' by Karen Beaumont and illustrated by David Catrow. Great for rhyming.
ReplyDeleteI'm need to order Dog Breathe. My classroom theme has been dogs for the past 3 years. A perfect reason to get it don't you think? lol
