Alright, where to begin? Mmmmm . . . well I decided to finish my GMW pack, work on regular classroom stuff, and be a wife Friday and Saturday so I missed Doodle's Party (awww, boogers!), but I will give you a little recap in my own way today.
We jumped into nouns this week and the kids had a blast with Noun Magazine Collages. It's an oldie, but a goodie (that requires NO PREP) . . . and they were absolutely delighted with this process :)
To save on copies, we folded copy paper and labeled it ourselves! |
Hard at work! |
And, what's a little magazine cuttin' without some silly fun??!! |
This was up during reading rotations. I have so many kids this year I am running 5 stations - it's a killer. Writing is ALWAYS one of them now! |
Take a look at these finished products. BOOM! Thanks Suz :) Snag Writing Through the Seasons - Fall for your files! |
Just like most every other primary teacher out there last week, we were in apple/fall/harvest land! Although the boys were bummed to leave our football theme behind, this proved to be a very fair trade off for them by the time Friday rolled around!
Thanks Teacher Bits + Bobs . . . Johnny turned out better than ever this year!! |
Apple Addition Facts! |
My favorite art ditty of the year! A handful of apples . . . so messy and so sweet!!! It's a mixture of multiple ideas I have seen over the years at Art Projects for Kids. |
As you can see, it was a great week for us!! I can't wait to see how this next round unfolds for my sweet little babes.
On another note, I finished up my 2nd Grade October Good Morning Work Packet - Math October!!! I managed to get this collection posted just under the wire this month - phew. A huge thanks to all my second grade pals who put their two-cents in on this one. They helped me jam-pack it with common core goodness that keeps kids thinking and working hard. This one has everything from money, time, and place value (ones, tens, hundreds) to fractions, fact families, and tricky word problems. It's a wonderful spiral review that walks that fine line of just the right amount of rigor and challenge . . . independent and meaningful morning work is critical!
As always, you can try before you buy over here at the Factory. Below you will find three pages to take with you and try with your crew. If you like what you see, come on back and treat yourself to the entire pack (it's only $3 for a month of learning)!

Don't forget that October 1st Grade Good Morning Work is also available (reading and math)! My team and I have been rolling with these for the past couple of years and we couldn't live without them.
Alright my friends, I am out of here . . . I am going to finish editing my Punctuation Pack if it kills me today. It has been done since early August and I just can't seem to get around to puttin' the finishing touches on it. Well, TODAY is the DAY!!!! (Sorry to shout . . . I am trying to make a point with my focus issues). Hugs my friends . . . thanks for visiting. I'll see you soon.
Any info on the postcard exchange? I signed up for Minn. weeks ago and haven't heard back. Does this mean I'm out?
